Situated atop FERAG AG in Hinwil, a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system is currently under installation, sprawling over an impressive area of approximately 9,000 square meters – equivalent to 1.2 football fields. The installation is being progressively executed with a projected completion date set for March 2023.

This intricate solar arrangement incorporates 2,632 solar modules, procured from Meyer Burger Technology AG, a Swiss firm known for its production facilities in Germany. These modules are anticipated to generate an annual solar power output averaging 1,100,000 kilowatt hours. This impressive yield would cover approximately 40% of FERAG’s internal power requirements in Hinwil, or in broader terms, equivalent to the yearly power consumption of 211 Swiss households.
